Gearhart Golf Links
is an 18 hole, public course located on the beautiful North Oregon
Coast in Gearhart. The course, opened in 1892 as 3 holes strewn
across the sand dunes, is the oldest course in the northwest and
arguably in the Western United States.

To
this day, the course retains a classic Links
flavor, with a hint of traditional Northwest design features.
It plays 6218 yards from the blue tees and 5353 yards
from the red tees. Services include a full service restaurant
and bar, pro shop,
golf instruction, power carts and clubs for rent. Annual
memberships are available. Groups/Tournaments are welcome.

January 1, 2008 McMenamins Pubs & Breweries is coming
to Gearhart Links. McMenamins will be operating all of
the food and beverage areas including a full renovation
of the Sandtrap Bar & Grill and meeting and event

Gearhart
Golf Links began life as a form of recreation for guests of
the Gearhart Hotel [history].
Today the course remains part of the Gearhart By The Sea Resort
with accommodations available in the resort's 200 condominium
units which rent nightly or by the week. Gearhart

Gearhart's
clubhouse spans 21,500 square feet on three floors. It includes;

miles from downtown Portland via Highway 26, Gearhart has
been a popular spot for Northwest residents since the late
1800s. Today, with the new clubhouse and upgraded golf course,
Gearhart By The Sea continues to provide an excellent setting
for vacations, weekend getaways, family get-together's, business
retreats, or any other excuse one can dream up to escape to
the beach.
