“Gearhart Golf Links has always been a special place to the Jacobsen family. As kids we would come the Beach every summer and play match after match on the links, betting for milkshakes. The improvements the Boyle family have implemented are spectacular. Their vision to “Polish the Gem” is spot on, and everyone who plays there will love the newly restored Links feel, from the open vistas to the firm and fast playing surfaces.”
Peter Jacobsen – 7 time winner on the PGA Tour, NBC and Golf Channel Analyst
“I couldn’t have had a better time at Gearhart Golf Links, and I can’t thank the Club enough for the hospitality; a really fun 18 holes, the great food, a comfy night’s stay at the hotel, and especially the conversations with the staff and the members, which were exceptional. Speaking as a golf writer, I think the renewal and upgrading of the course is right on the money. It’s everything a resort course should be — fun, challenging (and yet playable by golfers of all skill levels), walkable, intimate, and so closely “linked” to the hotel that you feel like you’re playing on its lawn. (Hooray for that 19th-century feel.) Speaking as a lifetime Carne Golf Links member, I think the twinning of the clubs is inspired. I’m confident that the two memberships will hit it off and find ways to span the great distance and share each others’ courses and company.”

You won’t believe the “NEW” Gearhart Golf Links! We have restored the 125 year old Gem to its true Links identity by removing select trees and expanding the view corridors. The putting greens are firm and fast, and the now open sightlines to the surrounding mountains are spectacular.
In 1891, before any formal golf course existed west of the Mississippi River, a clatch of homesick Scotsmen confounded the locals by burying tin cans into the dunes and then knocking balls with sticks until they dropped into the cans. For these Scots, the landscape at Gearhart was strongly reminiscent of the native, ancient courses of St. Andrews and Montrose.
Gearhart Golf Links is a Public course with 18 holes of spectacular, links-style golf located in the town of Gearhart on the Beautiful North Oregon Coast.
