Mcmenamins Sand Trap Pub, Pot Bunker Bar, and Sand Bar
Brothers Mike and Brian McMenamin may have started out with one humble pub back in 1974, but that’s not all they do. Along with brewing beer, distilling spirits, opening hotels and vinting wine, their focus has expanded through the years to include a little bit about this, that and the other. Why not! The Gearhart Hotel boasts 34 hotel rooms, all with bathrooms and TVs for your guests. On site you will find the main pub called the Sand Trap, a cozy snug downstairs call the Pot Bunker, and an on-course destination small bar called the Sand Bar. Stop by for a casual meal before or after a round of golf. Check out our schedule of live, free music. Have a cocktail or two outside on the patio or next to the firepit. Or ask for a meal to go and take it across the street to enjoy on the beach (and don’t forget a bottle of Edgefield wine or a 4-pack of McMenamins ales!).
Mcmenamins Events
Along with the pub that seats 120 (plus an additional 100 outdoor seats overlooking the greens), McMenamins offers refreshments on the golf course along with special wedding and meeting spaces — and we’re accepting bookings. The Gearhart Hotel is a unique, romantic and fun venue for your party/meeting needs. The Livingstone’s room opens onto a covered patio and lawn area beyond overlooking the golf course. It is located on the first floor of the building, can accommodate 120 guests, with another 24 on the covered patio. The room can also be divided in half for more intimate parties. Our event spaces rent based on food and beverage minimums. This means that as long as a minimum dollar amount is spent on food and beverages catered by the Gearhart Hotel, there is no charge for the event space. We provide all indoor tables and chairs, linens, dishes, silverware, set up, catering service including bartending, break down and clean up.

McMenamins Gearhart Hotel
Just four miles north of Seaside along the Northern Oregon Coast, Gearhart Hotel is situated adjacent to our 18th Hole, and just across the dunes from the Pacific Ocean. The 34 guestrooms feature king or queen-sized beds, all with private bathrooms and televisions. McMenamins’ signature artwork adorns the rooms, integrating Pacific Northwest coastal style. The Sandtrap Pub on the main floor offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Stop by for a casual meal after a round of golf or before a day at the beach. Have a cocktail or clam chowder on the Fore Deck overlooking the 1st and 10th tees, or duck into the Pot Bunker Bar, a cozy snug complete with fireplace and a great selection of whiskey and gin. Construction is happening as we speak on “The Golfer’s Suite” – an additional 4 bedroom suite with shared sitting/warming room overlooking the Links!
